The Salmon Youth Centre is interested in volunteers from corporate organisations, because:
- of the unique skills and experience they bring to the centre;
- their dedication to making a difference in the local community;
- corporates are often actively looking for and fully supportive of regular volunteering opportunities.
There are different ways for you and your organisation to get involved:
Short-term projects
Short-term projects allow volunteers from corporate organisations to be involved in one-off projects which have a start date, finish date and set outcomes. These projects can be branded with your organisation’s branding. There will be a set budget and specific costs will be outlined so you know the full extent of your commitment.
Long-term placements
This adult volunteering opportunity requires individuals or a team to commit to a minimum of one club session per week, for a minimum of a year. Volunteers should offer some experience or expertise that can benefit the youth work at Salmon and be looking to build relationships and have fun with young people. Volunteers will receive a CRB check and training in safeguarding children.
