Growing up, Salmon to me was the most amazing place. It gave me so many opportunities, new experiences and just generally a place to have fun with my friends. And now I'm BACK as a gap-year student!!! Back to help support the growth of the new generation.

When I first walked into Salmon I felt like I was ten again. Only the building had changes, as it is now a new state of the art building. Walking in I saw many familiar faces. I stopped coming to Salmon at 14, because I was taking care of my gorgeous daughter Gracie.

Over the years I've watched so many people staying regulars at Salmon and grow into mature adults, mainly my brother. To be honest I got pretty envious of them. Now I have been here a few weeks, I have realised, no it wasn't my time to be at Salmon. This is the year I was meant to be here. After all the events, experience in my life and the knowledge I have gained over the years, it's now my time to share my skills and experience with the young people. If I had joined the gap-year scheme a few years ago, I would not have had as much to share with the young people. I know I wouldn't have been able to achieve and take advantage of the opportunity in the same way I am about to now!

I'll be blogging every fornight so I hope you come back and read it... Morgan x
