Music

The Salmon Youth Centre works with professional musicians, paid and voluntary, to provide music taster sessions in open clubs with young people of all ages and abilities.

We run a weekly gospel choir for 8-12 year olds, a music production drop-in and guitar, drumming, DJ and vocal tuition.

Recent funding through Youth Music has given us the opportunity to invite professional musicians in to mentor young people who are serious about their passion for music, giving them professional advice and support in their progression. In turn these young people are trained and supported to mentor other young people in music-making at the Salmon Youth Centre.
