The Salmon Youth Centre encourages and challenges young people to step out of their comfort zones. Our skilled staff, volunteers and wide range of facilities offer young people the opportunity to take part in a variety of clubs and activities.

OPEN CLUBS
Open clubs are the foundation of our work with young people. Split into age groups, they are a safe place where young people can come to chill out, try new things, have a go at lots of different activities and, most importantly, build relationships with caring adults (youth workers).

SPECIALISED CLUBS

Specialised clubs, such as homework clubs, arts clubs and sports clubs, are led by our specialist staff and volunteers. They are a place for young people, in smaller groups, to have fun while gaining skills in teamwork, concentration and self-discipline.

KEY WORK

Key work is intense one-to-one work with individual young people. Young people who will benefit from this might have complex support needs, particularly challenging behaviour, or need some extra encouragement to reach their full potential.

RESIDENTIAL & TRIPS

Residentials and trips are an opportunity for young people to spend time away from home and negative influences in their lives. They are a really effective way for young people to try new things and grow in confidence.
